STEP 1:  Registration: Although you may preview candidates at NannyKingdom.com for free, you must be a registered member in order to obtain the contact information for the candidates. Please complete the registration process before attempting to proceed past the preview.

STEP 2:  Finding and Interviewing Qualified Candidates: After you have completed your registration with NannyKingdom.com, you can log onto your account and search for prospective candidates. Using our detailed Search feature, we will provide you with the profile and contact information for potential candidates searching for the same type of position posted by you. Once you have obtained the profiles of the selected candidates, you are free to contact those that appeal to you, conduct over the phone interviews and if you desire, set up in-person interviews.

In addition, you may choose to make your listing searchable for candidates seeking employment to view during their own search process. If you choose this option, then candidates may contact you to inquire about your listing. This feature is optional and not required.

STEP 3: Reference Checking: Upon interviewing and selecting the appropriate candidate(s), obtaining and checking their references is crucial. Only by speaking directly to, and candidly with the candidate’s previous employers can you ascertain what kind of employee the candidate truly is. By asking specific questions about job related skills, personality, reliability, dependability and other qualifications you feel are important, you can find out if the candidate is actually the type of employee you are seeking. There is an added bonus to checking the references yourself. Previous employers are more inclined to reveal things to another family that they may not reveal to an agency. You get a more personal recommendation than would be provided by an agency.

STEP 4: Background Checks: Once you have decided which candidate you would like to hire, you want to conduct a background check. Certainly you will want a criminal background check performed. However, you may choose to conduct other types of backgrounds checks depending on what the job entails. For example: If driving is a job requirement, you may want to conduct a driving record check on your potential employee. STEP 5: Hiring: Now that you have selected the candidate that you wish to hire, you will want to make an offer to that candidate, outlining the terms of the offer by which the candidate will be hired. It is important to outline the details of the position, including but not limited to, position title, trial period, vacation times, paid holidays, and other pertinent details. We have provided the below family agreement which will be a helpful and instrumental tool in facilitating this process.
